The Globe and Crown had a really warm and friendly atmosphere, but the walls were quite thin, making it easy to hear noise from adjacent rooms. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were genuinely helpful and welcoming. Would be better with some soundproofing.

We spent 3 nights in a cozy double room and enjoyed the new bathroom and fresh carpet. The hotel offers great relaxation options with a nice garden area and a small lounge perfect for winding down after a day out. The only downside was the access code issue we faced upon arrival, but it was quickly resolved.

The coffee from the local cafes was like a little slice of Italian heaven—an invigorating pick-me-up! Plus, the Double Room was basic yet comfy and clean, perfect for a cozy night after exploring the nearby eateries like The Mermaid Restaurant and East Street Bistro.
The access situation was a bit dodgy, with a handwritten note on the door.

Good spot for a budget stay
We had a nice stay for a few nights. The room was basic but clean, and the bed was super comfy. Kane was really helpful when we arrived. Just know there's no restaurant, so plan ahead for meals. Parking was a bit tricky due to one-way streets, but overall, it did the job for us.

I recently stayed for three nights in a double room with a private bathroom, and I absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere and the comfortable bed. The peaceful nights made it easy to relax, and I really appreciated the clean, basic amenities provided. The only downside was the lack of a designated reception area, but it didn't bother me much. 😊
